STS Component Solutions Expands in Martin County, Credits Globalization
STUART, FL – The Business Development Board of Martin County announces the expansion of STS Component Solutions, a division of STS Aviation Group headquartered in Jensen Beach. The company is in the process of adding 16 new jobs in the coming twelve months, a majority of which have already been filled. STS Component Solutions has expanded its warehouse and office space in Palm City to accommodate the business for anticipated future growth.
Of the 16 jobs planned, the company has already added 11, bringing total employment to 25, and invested $50,000 in modernizing equipment and the facility. Tom Covella, Executive VP and General Manager for STS Component Solutions says recovery in the commercial airline business, paired with newly signed contracts with airlines, and the establishment of several key strategic OEM (original equipment manufacturer) business partnerships mostly in a global market are responsible for the company’s success. “We’re expanding our reach in South America, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East,” said Covella. “STS Component Solutions currently conducts business with over 110 airlines and end-users in over 35 different countries. Expanding our global market share and coverage keeps our business more diversified and minimizes the impact of local economic downturns.”
STS Component Solutions was honored by the Business Development Board in September with a Business Expansion Award at the organization’s annual award luncheon as a result of the company’s growth in Martin County.
The Business Development Board of Martin County connected STS Component Solutions with Workforce Solutions for recruitment and employee screening assistance and is assisting the company with an application for a Quick Response Training (QRT) grant. The QRT program is a state-funded grant program that provides funding to targeted businesses to train their new, full-time employees. Funding is provided in the form of a performance-based, reimbursable grant that has a 24-month maximum term. A business pays for pre-approved, direct training-related costs, and is reimbursed by the State of Florida upon submission and approval of required documentation. If awarded, the grant would be administered by Workforce Florida and Indian River State College.
“STS Component Solutions and its parent company STS Aviation Group are an integral part of Martin County’s growing aviation and aerospace community,” said Ron Bunch, executive director, Business Development Board of Martin County. “I see tremendous opportunity with these businesses as they thrive globally and contribute significantly to our local economy.”
Serving global airlines and MROs, STS Component Solutions supports some of the largest passenger and freight airlines in the world by providing dedicated support teams for each region. The company provides inventory solutions that reduce cost of ownership and maximize inventory utilization through inventory pooling programs, logistics support, repair management, technical services, and inventory valuations for airframe and engine components
“With this investment in our facility and employees, we have positioned ourselves for significant future development,” said Covella. “With the synergy focused around STS Aviation Group, we anticipate continued opportunities for growth.” For more information about STS Components, visit www.stsaviationgroup.com/ComponentSolutions.aspx.
