Opened in early November, 2022, STS Aviation Services’ aircraft base maintenance facility in Manchester, United Kingdom features 245,522 sq/ft of working space alongside extensive front and rear access doors that measure approximately 21m high; providing full 360 degree hangar circulation and direct runway access.
The hangar is large enough to accommodate 6 narrow body aircraft at one time, and the main hangar dimensions measure approximately 100m wide by 126m in length.
Externally, the hangar features two aprons, one in the front and another behind the facility.
In addition, the space boasts a modern, three-story HQ center of operations that include ancillary staff facilities and specialized workspaces.
The hangar is situation in the western edge of Manchester airport, the busiest regional airport in the UK outside of London.

Our state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance facility in Birmingham features 200,000 sq/ft of total space — including ramp — and has the capacity to service wide-body aircraft. In fact, the facility can house two wide-body aircraft or 10 narrowbody aircraft at the same time. In addition to its size, the complex is home to several on-site component repair and back shops; making it true nose-to-tail MRO service facility flush with vertical lift storage devices, a global reporting room and dozens of laptop mobility hubs.
