STS Engineering Solutions Announces Four Key Promotions

Growth changes what a team needs.
For STS Engineering Solutions, continued expansion across ODA and Service Engineering has created new opportunities, new responsibilities and a need for greater depth across the organization.
Today, we’re pleased to announce four promotions that reflect where the business is headed and recognize the people helping move it forward.
Arturo Romero Promoted to ODA Unit Member, Structures
Arturo Romero has been promoted to ODA Unit Member, Structures, an important step in the continued development of STS Engineering Solutions’ internal certification capabilities.
In this role, Arturo provides STS with an internal approval path for certain structural engineering work within the limits of the ODA’s current authority. Those limits are expected to expand as existing restrictions are removed, giving the team greater internal approval capability and helping reduce response times for customers.
The appointment also creates opportunities for STS to support additional ODAs that need qualified structural engineering resources.
That work is already beginning.
STS has identified its first opportunity to support a major inflight entertainment STC holder and ODA with structural engineering needs, providing additional capacity where their organization needs it most.
Arturo’s new role also gives him the independence required to properly exercise his ODA responsibilities while continuing to strengthen STS’ broader engineering capabilities.
Lael Gobble Promoted to Director of Service Engineering
Lael Gobble has been promoted to Director of Service Engineering.
The position had remained open for more than a year. During that time, Lael didn’t wait for the title before taking on the work.
He identified gaps, assumed additional responsibilities and became a key resource across multiple areas of the organization. His work has included daily support for 24/7 AOG requirements, heavy maintenance, damage tolerance analysis and STS Aviation Group’s MRO operations.
As Director of Service Engineering, Lael will now lead the day-to-day technical direction and workflow across those functions.
The promotion formalizes a role he has steadily grown into and recognizes the impact he’s already having across the organization.
Daniel Zarate and Irving Cervantes Promoted to Senior Contract Engineers
Daniel Zarate and Irving Cervantes have both been promoted to Senior Contract Engineer.
Both have continued to deliver strong results within the AOG Services group and routinely rank among the team’s top three EA producers each month.
Their promotions recognize that consistency while adding more senior engineering depth to a group built around speed, technical accuracy and responsiveness when aircraft operators need support most.
Building the Team for What Comes Next
These promotions came out of a broader conversation about how STS Engineering Solutions should be structured for its next stage of growth.
The answer wasn’t simply adding titles.
It was about putting the right people in the right positions, creating clearer areas of responsibility and strengthening the technical capabilities our customers rely on every day.
Arturo’s appointment expands what STS can accomplish through its ODA organization. Lael’s promotion provides dedicated leadership across Service Engineering. Daniel and Irving add experience and proven performance to the senior ranks of the AOG Services team.
Each move makes the organization stronger.
Please join us in congratulating Arturo, Lael, Daniel and Irving on their well-earned promotions. We’re excited to see what comes next.
