BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom, May 28, 2024 — STS Aviation Services (STS), a division of STS Aviation Group and a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions, announces the acquisition of UK-based engine MRO, GT Engine Services (GTES).

Since establishing itself in the UK at the end of 2019, STS Aviation Services has delivered sustained year-on-year growth, continued to add both capacity and capability, and is now the largest independent MRO in the United Kingdom with an expanding footprint in Europe, serving both commercial and military sectors. Acquiring GT Engine Services, a leading aircraft engine maintenance and repair company, builds on the strategy for a single point solution and accelerates STS’ growth into the engine sector, opening further capability to its growing customer base.

STS Aviation Group’s CEO, PJ Anson, said, “Myself and the Board at STS are delighted we have been able to conclude the acquisition of GT Engine Services, which delivers on our strategy of being a significant provider of airframe, material, and now engine maintenance and repair solutions.
